cuiller, pendant gravé

Since January i love to engrave, too. I am a novice to this and would like to share some of my results with you.
All was done with a tungsten carbide graver and a compressed air system.

This is the layout i did for a spoon made of stainless steel

I am glad you see the pictures now. To engrave the pendant it took me four long evenings. I hope to become better (and quicker) with more practice.

I am well afraid of disappointing you but I produce nothing !
I tried formerly, but only little of the do-it-yourself !


Then, activities rather intellectual and my mother's role monopolized me and took me away from any serious practice .
We had agreed upon an apprenticeship training with an old craftsman of the medina who fell ill and withdrew, regrettably.

One of my friends, a traditional jeweler , had intended to open a school of vocational training in jewellery , but its file was never taken into account...

You ask me for what I prefer? My preferences go to rings and to bracelets, but especially rings!

I like the ancient Moroccan and Iranian silver rings , chiselled, niellées or engraved : the iranian are often set with turquoises , corals , cornelians , lapis lazulis , jaspers .
Most of them have calligrafic or figurative intailles .

I appreciate the simple forms of the greco-Roman art jewelry , which joins perfectly its lines with the human body.

I also like the moghol art the influence of which we find in the ancient Moroccan golden jewels.

... So as you can see , all which is beautiful ... the list remains opened !
